This book is ok but it lacks information for beginners … This book lacks information for beginners. The stitches are not named so it is a bit confusing. I wish there was more explanation about the stitches and much longer directions. I also do not understand why all the even rounds are completely left out. I e-mailed the author and I have never heard from the author even though the author gives an e-mail and encourages contact. It also uses p1, p2, etc and gives no explanation what the abbreviations mean. For these reasons I had to give a bad review.

row by row and charts good book clear row by row instructions as well as charted out, depending on how you like to work.surprised it was paperback, thought i saw it listed as hardcover but the info inside is the important stuff. it says vol I…. would like to see if there are more volumes out yet.

The patterns are easy to understand. This is by far not for novices. That said, the diagrams are easy to understand along with the patterns. The examples provided in this book lend well to mixing with other projects/patterns. In all honesty, I struggled with figuring out how to do anything but straight and x post patterns until I went through this book. If you’re struggling as well, give this book a try.
